Replaced 12 year old GE convection that kept blowing cooktop bulbs. Simple install, similar controls as my older version, sans convection that I don’t think I ever used. We followed the instructions to install, and then figure out that it would have fit exactly into the old frame, so wasted about an hour removing the old wall connections…. Great having a dial to easily add seconds, or can just hit 30 second button a few times. LOVE the pull out vent that covers the entire cook surface! Great pendants! The bulb is completely hidden by the frosted glass. I have mine with LED bulbs and theyre on a dimmer. Theyre also on my sloped ceiling, so theyre pretty much compatible with everything. As the other reviews have said, it can be tricky to change the bulbs after its assembled. I didnt have an issue with it because I have small handsarms and they fit pretty easily in the frosted glass canister (which is approx 3.25 in diameter). Overall, people love them, and I do too! If this lasts less than the 50,000 hours advertised, I would be hesitant as throwing away a single light bulb seems environmentally preferable to throwing away this entire apparatus. One star deducted for lack of adequate dimensions in the listing. I didn't get to try the various settings because, alas, my smallest can light is actually 6 inches, so I'll have to try the appropriate size.
