The picture is showing our bathroom project thus far. The tile is nice and I really love it. I will have to agree with the previous person who said that they got a lot of repeat tiles but fortunately, I had enough boxes where it didn’t affect my project that much. Based on the Catalan vaults he created the Guastavino tile, a "Tile Arch System" patented in the United States in 1885 and used for constructing robust, self-supporting arches and architectural vaults using interlocking terracotta tiles and layers of mortar. Guastavino tile is found in some of New York's most prominent Beaux-Arts landmarks and in major buildings across the United States. It is used in a huge number of architecturally important and famous buildings with vaulted spaces. Guastavino was not the principal architect for most of the projects.

This tile is beautiful, with a nice sheen and enough irregularity to catch the light and make it look expensive. However, 2/3 of the boxes I ordered came with broken tiles. I think broken tiles are more likely with this format because the grooves create weaknesses in the 14x14 sheets. Besides the breakage, the tile was easy to work with and regular enough that all the groves lined up without too much effort. I used it for my kitchen backsplash and am really pleased with the look. All you have to do is peel the membrane from the back of the tile and stick it to the desired surface! It is chemical-free, pet-friendly, durable, water and frost resistant.

Tile is beautiful and installation was great with a glass cutting kit. Great quality and great price. Only drawback is that some of the tiles have variation so alignment on installation was tricky at times but overall, very pleased and plan to purchase again for another remodel.. Anonymous.
