I have several seating areas and have ordered my share of umbrellas so i think i have a pretty good sense of comparison and quality. This umbrella is about one of the best I have gotten so far. The construction is far superior and the fabric is thick and blocks the strong sun. For the very first time the pole fits snug into my base (I used my own not the one the umbrella came with). Very sturdy and easy to install. We installed ours over where a round doorknob used to be. We still need to add a little wood filler, stains and paint to cover a small bit of the hole in the door at the top of the handle. This went on my interior laundry roommudroom door. Due to humidity and occasional dampness, the old, cheap knobs would become hard to turn. I have issues with arthritis in my hands. This is so easy to use compared to the round knobs.
