Currently waiting for quartz countertop to be installed, so I cannot provide info about installation (needs to be professionally installed). The color is more of a gun metal, not black. Has held up really well. You’re likely to get some scratching of the paint or coating on the middle separator if you lean things like pizza stones or anything slightly abrasive against it, but otherwise has help up really well.
