Purchased this to protect my Allia 34" kitchen sink. It's a must-have if you spend the money on a real fireclay kitchen sink. This 24-inch dual-mount fireclay kitchen sink is made in Italy. The exterior height of 10 inches gives you an eye-popping 9-inch basin depth for the real-world dishes that are soon to appear! The drain placement is at the rear of the sink to give you a more unobstructed surface area for dishes. The drain opening is 3.5 inches in diameter and may require an extended ferrule due to bottom thickness. Style and practicality all rolled into one. This is a great undermount steel sink. Size is pleasant for being only 22 inches, and deep, in order to accommodate items without splashing. There is some kind of sound deadening foam panels adhered to all sides, and the whole of the underneath of the basin has been coated with some kind of sprayed on dampening to help prevent echoing and clattering.
