THIS tub replaced one of those horrible, huge, tubs with all the jets that builders put in homes in the 1990s. I gutted my master bath and more than doubled the size of my shower, and had this beauty installed. I wish I had considered the placement of the freestanding water faucet while the plumber was in the deep hole he had to dig to move pipes around....I placed the tub with the little lip under the faucet so some water splatters on the wall.......that was MY mistake so just a suggestion for when you put your tub in. I am used to one of the type tubs that goes in a corner with wall on 3 sides..........long and low. THIS is short and deep. Perfect soaking tub. I am 5'1 so I actually can sit and extend my legs straight out but anyone taller will have their knees up. Even so, a little water comes up on your body giving you an amazing soak. We did a partial remodel and the tile regrout is next. Tub reglaze was done just before thus install and a truly great idea. Unfortunately, our plumber felt land locked into using a Symmons system to match our existing Symmons valve. We could not make Delta system work without a massive tear out. Universal valve didn’t solve the fit and screws in wrong location. So this Symmons was forced as Plan B. The Delta champagne gold was our intention and had already been installed in vanity without a problem. Not loving this very polished brass color. On the BRIGHT side The shower head is huge with 7 variations for water patterns. This is a 3rd floor main bathroom and I wish it had more pressure. 1.5 gpm and we are on a well. There were no install problems encountered by plumber using our original Symmons valve. And because it is a modestly priced unit, maybe we will swap out to a detachable spray head later on. Just know on the color - this is NOT even close to the Delta champagne gold. That is softer dreamy color and all quality, not at all like Symmons brushed brass.
