I did read where some ppl felt the gold on the base looked cheap but I didn’t think so, just the finials…but you really can’t tell once the finials are in place. The lamps are a classy timeless look! Nice heavy base with a consistent, matte finish. Although I measured, this does feel larger/look larger than what I planned on.
