I have been eyeing this lamp for a while and it finally went on sale, which made me go forward to purchase. I bought 2 for each of my night stands in my bedroom. I read all the reviews and knew the pros and cons ppl were saying. My only disappointment with this lamp is that the finials are very cheap looking… not a heavy brass plated look. I decided to keep the lamps because I love everything else about them. I did read where some ppl felt the gold on the base looked cheap but I didn’t think so, just the finials…but you really can’t tell once the finials are in place. The lamps are a classy timeless look! I purchased these for the living room thinking. I was going to go more Polynesian in my second home when I got new furniture. That didn’t happen so I put them in the bedroom. I really like that the shade can be angled to have the light exactly where you need it if you’re reading or working on a project. It was very easy to put together. The only thing that could make this even better would it also having an adjustable height, but that doesn’t effect how much I love it right now. Overall, a beautiful lamp to keep in my home..
