I purchased these for the living room thinking. I was going to go more Polynesian in my second home when I got new furniture. That didn’t happen so I put them in the bedroom. They’re fine there but I will probably eventually change them out since they are not the best with this furniture either. They were a great price. They were packed well but did have a flaw on one side. It wasn’t bad enough to send back. I just turned it toward the wall. No biggie. I read all the reviews and knew the pros and cons ppl were saying. My only disappointment with this lamp is that the finials are very cheap looking… not a heavy brass plated look. I decided to keep the lamps because I love everything else about them. I did read where some ppl felt the gold on the base looked cheap but I didn’t think so, just the finials…but you really can’t tell once the finials are in place. The lamps are a classy timeless look! The marble base is beautiful and very heavy, so no fears of tipping. The size and scale are perfect for our space. For reference, the drapes are 9.
