A "snap" will indicate when the umbrella is properly assembled. A base is not included but is required for use. The umbrella must be used beneath a patio table as well. Easily open and close the umbrella by turning the crank handle, and adjust the canopy for the right angle by pressing the tilt button. The canopy features a built-in vent to help wind escape for better stability. Plus, this convenient vent also allows heat to release on hot, muggy days.
