The gas range is very powerful, the iron grill is sturdy and offers a flat top (no pot or pan wiggling!) for the entire range. This feature is helpful in a small kitchen with limited counter space. Other reviewers are correct when saying the temperature dial needs to be set above the needed temp to get a correct preheat. Remedy with a hanging oven thermometer. Do not, I repeat, Do not get the ‘GE Installation’ service with this appliance. Even if you buy an installation kit. The technician will come in, excuse in hand, and will tell you that any dust, or light green on the gas pipe disallows them to service the installation. (When plumbers test for gas leaks upon installation they spray a little water on the line, leading to a light green) Be ready with your own plumber on the day of delivery. It's exactly what my wife wanted, and she's happy with it. For installation, the gas line and the electrical wire have to share a very small space at the bottom in the back. Advice: Don't try to use a gas line that's longer than 36" (1m). Both a 3-prong and a 4-prong electrical wire were included. Still need to get a cabinet made but this little fridge is awesome! Looks great - the french doors are nice, hardware all functions smoothly and feels heavy and of quality. Dual zone temp control is awesome. While not silent, it's pretty dang quiet. Came extremely well packaged with heavy Styrofoam protecting it - though there was a small dent to a back corner. Not a huge deal since a cabinet will hide it and it doesn't impact functionality. Setup is super easy - just attach the door handles. The only minor criticism I have is the blue interior lighting is ONLY at the top. So it only illuminates the top row of whatever you have in it. Not really all that useful in dark settings given that - other than it gives off a cool blue glow. Should have carried the LEDs all along the sides so it fully illuminates contents. The delivery service was good. Was just surprised to see the two delivery persons carrying the stove into the house rather then using a dolly !!They seemed to do a good job though. The box on one corner was damaged on the outside but so far the oven looks fine due to the excellent packaging. Will see how things go when we set the oven up and running tomorrow with a certified plumber connecting the stove to our gas line. The oven looks gorgeous and well made and it was just what we were looking for. Will be wiling to write another review once the stove is up and running and we can use it.. Margaret. A nice door, but it was damaged during delivery. Big black boot marks where someone walked all over the box in spite of the fact that it said right on the box to keep it upright and handle with care. I would like to have the bent part sent to us if it possible to replace and attach it. Call me tomorrow morning by about 10:00 am EDT/ I am very pleased that Wayfair gave me a nice discount and a gift certificate for our trouble. Fortunately, we were able to repair the damage.
