So far I have been using it to wash my husband’s caps and smaller loads that I do not want mixing in with everything else. It has been perfect for that. I like that I can run it at the same time as the main washer. It saves time, especially during busy weeks. The caps come out clean and still keep their shape, which was always a concern before. I have also tossed in delicates and everything has come out fresh. It is simple to use and feels sturdy. I honestly did not think we needed it at first, but now I am glad we have it. I was shocked (though I obviously shouldn't have been) to see that the water and electrical hookups had moved completely, making the install much more complicated for me. On the other hand, the newer leveling procedure is much nicer. Of course, we're still just getting used to it, but I fully expect this new Benchmark version to last at least as long as the old "800" model did, and be just as easy to live with. (Full disclosure, the old one would still be running fine if "someone" hadn't taken a tumble on the open door!) So far, my only quibble (and it's a large one) is that the Delay Start button has been moved to ONLY the app and is no longer on the control panel. At least let it be part of your Favorites settings! Our default has been to set a 2 hour delay when we start the dishwasher, but I doubt I'll be willing to use the app just to do that. I LOVE the new interior lighting!. Ericb. Fri May 01 2026
