Love the look and feel of this bed. It was a lil rough getting it together. I was nervous it wouldn’t actually work with my adjustable base, but with some finagling, it does! You just have to take off the pieces the slats would normally rest on which come already drilled into to the side rails, but it’s just a matter of unscrewing some extra screws. I have some observations with the instruction steps, I think that you should build the square frame first before attach the legs to the wood, because you can put the legs a little bit far form the side of the wood that needs to be attached to the leg. I recently purchased the Ophelia Solid Wood Platform Bed in the Chalk finish (King size) and I couldn’t be happier. This bed is everything I wanted and more. The chalk color is beautiful — it has that perfect weathered, driftwood look with subtle white undertones that make the natural wood grain pop without looking too gray or too brown. It blends effortlessly with both modern and farmhouse styles. The headboard has a lovely curved, traditional shape that adds character and elegance to the room. What really impressed me is the quality of the solid wood. It feels incredibly sturdy and heavy-duty. No creaking, no wobbling — even with two adults and our energetic dog jumping on it. The platform design is excellent the slats are strong and evenly spaced, so I was able to ditch the box spring entirely. Assembly was straightforward (though two people definitely help with the headboard), and everything lined up perfectly. It looks high-end but didn’t break the bank.
