Besides the breakage, the tile was easy to work with and regular enough that all the groves lined up without too much effort. I used it for my kitchen backsplash and am really pleased with the look. We finished our basement and put this niche in the wall opposite the bottom of the stairs into the basement. The niche holds holiday decor, like this photo taken at xmas, and a Chiparus dancer bronze sculpture in between holidays. It fit in the wall perfectly and adds a great accent to our downstairs rooms. Niches have been used in homes for almost 2000 years, first made of white marble in Nero's home. Most niches are still white, and for many years were mostly made of plaster. Now that many modern architectural products are made of urethane, custom millwork and details such as recessed niches have become affordable for any home improvement project. Niches are distinctive architectural accents. Often used to display sculptures, vases, clocks, plants and flowers, niches are beautiful and functional details that add value to any home interior. Im very pleased with this oil rubbed bronze drain. I was looking for an oil rubbed bronze color drain to match all of my other oil rubbed bronze bathroom fixtures and this fit perfectly. We just replaced the cover of the drain because the cover is made of metal, not plastic. Hopefully this oil rubbed bronze drain doesn't peel off like the last drain cover we just replaced.. Natasha.
