I love my convection oven. It cooks so quickly that it's a joy. While I did have to recycle some of my pots, the majority work on the new oven. I would highly recommend this purchase. The no-preheat air frying feature is a huge time saver, and the two larger front burners make cooking with bigger pots and pans incredibly convenient. It feels thoughtfully designed for people who cook often. One of my favorite features is the bread proofing mode — it works amazingly well for fermentation and even yogurt making. That said, I do wish the oven light had an auto shut-off timer after a few minutes, as that would have been a helpful addition. I also have used heavy cast iron pans and hexclad cookware on this stove and they have not made a scratch on the glass this shows the stovetop is pretty scratch resistant and be that way for a long time.. The cooktop heats up quickly and evenly, and having the extra burner space has already made cooking breakfast and dinner so much easier. I LOVE our new GE induction range. I have to admit, I was pretty uncertain about how I would feel about the change. The thing that bothered me the most was that my favorite skillet would no longer work well on the induction range. My husband purchased a beautiful cast iron skillet that I now love just as much. The range itself really does heat instantly. It can boil tap water in about a minute -- crazy! It is as easy to control as a gas range. The only down side of the range is on one side there are two burners that can be tethered together and operated together for a large pan - think rectangular pancake skillet. This feature is dumb because while the range top has markings indicating there would be even heating on the entire side of the range, including between the burners, that does not happen and you just have two separate hot spots on one large pan. I don't know why they did this. As to the oven, it is spacious -- you could definitely do a turkey. One of the racks pulls out of the oven, which is great. This means when you are doing something heavy or something you need to baste frequently, you don't have to lift it out of the oven -- you just pull out the rack. I like all of the features including the air frier. I should note that this is difficult to initially set up because the air frier will only work via an app on your phone. This means you need to set it up with wifi and that was pretty complicated. Once done, it's done forever (I hope!). The oven does not heat instantly like the range or like a gas range, but it also does not take as long as our old range. I feel like it takes about 12 - 13 minutes to heat up to 450, for example. The heat is even. I haven't used the self cleaning feature, but am glad it exists. I am also pleased with the storage drawer under the oven. It is large and easy to pull out.. Mary In Nor Cal. We've been GE appliance users for 30+ years and always been satisfied. Our last GE stove had a smooth ceramic cooktop which cleaned easily, never scratched, and looked as good when we moved as it did when we first bought it. Jump ahead to the present, when we bought all new stainless GE appliances for our new home...and I HATE the cooktop! Within nine months there are significant scratches and what seem to be permanent stains, despite taking all the required precautions, having the appropriate cook wear, and using the recommended/provided cleanser and cleaning procedures. I don't know how the quality of the cooktop materials could have changed so much in the course of a few years, but I'm very unhappy with the current version. An appliance designed with such a fragile work surface doesn't make sense for a functioning family kitchen. I have been using these filters for the last 7 years. I live in LA and the facet water isn’t the best to drink. These filters make a healthy water that taste good.
