The table lamp looks as if it is made of one material in three distinctive finishes but the base is made of wood while the other elements on the ivory table lamp are made of wrought iron and brass in antique brass and gold finishes. Ian Thornton designed the Mithra brass table lamp with its powerful brutalist profile. The cast aluminum lamp has all of the attributes that make foundry pieces so special, such as the drifts of stippling on the metal's surface. The antique brass finish highlights the texture to bring the gold lamp the feel of a vintage piece. Thornton was inspired by a mid-century modern sculpture when he designed the Mithra. The honed granite base and the off-white shantung shade are clean-lined elements that leave the sculpture to shine.

The Anisa black etagere has a trick up its sleeve: because the frame that is covered in oak veneer in a caviar black finish is fitted with rattan cane panels, it is artfully attractive from all sides.
