Very solid except for the hand unit which is plastic. However the hand unit looks to be well built. The unit I received seems to be a more advanced version than the instructions cover but the difference is minor and should make installation a bit easier. This due to one of the fittings having a thread adapter that will provide a more adaptable set up. Read the instructions carefully before starting the install, and place the bits where you think they will fit before making holes as there is a lot if metal to fit/place.
