Mind you this umbrella was purchased 3 years ago. Paired with the Castellanos Offset Plastic Free Standing Umbrella Base. Survived 2 hurricanes and 1 tropical storm. This Umbrella has really made my patio so much nicer. It’s a beautiful escape from the Florida sun. The lights at night are so pleasant we are still enjoying it after 3 years. Although replacement parts are available we haven’t had to replace anything yet, after 3 years!! It’s well worth the money and the fabric is strong and durable. I have have this umbrella for two years and am very happy with it. The fabric is not Sumbrella, which I consider to be the best canvas for umbrellas, but this fabric is holding up pretty well. Be sure to keep it clean, and keep wasps, and other insects from making nests as they can damage the fabric, as well as sting you :-). I do not have a traditional base. I was having a patio poured, so had a metal holder installed. You can even install this type of holder later as well, and I recommend them as there is no tripping over big bulky stands.. Cindy. It’s awesome. I was skeptical at first, but… it’s incredibly easy to put together and super easy to open and close. I love the lights and the base is extremely sturdy. I filled it with 12 sand and 12 water so it weights about 350 pounds. I highly recommend this cantilever umbrella. I also love the way it’s adjustable up and down and also swivels left and right. If you’re looking for a cantilever umbrella….look no further. If you have the means…..I highly recommend. I bought the 12’x12’ Size and it is awesome! It provides amazing shade on our sun drenched mountain back porch. It’s substantial, impressive and beautiful. The only issue is that the upper canopy arrived with a small tear in it and we’re waiting on next steps from the manufacturer.
