The temperature in the room feels much cooler and more comfortable. The remote control can be used to change the lighting, including the different modes, the speed of the blades (there are five speeds), and the direction of the wind flow. I really want to emphasize that the metal clasps are nothing more than a bent piece of thin metal, and the crystals have the potential to fall out. Had a hard time finding a fan the size I wanted but this was it! I wanted a larger size and most were not long enough for my 36" stove width I wanted a good 4" on each end. It looks great. Just replaced a 21 year old standard gold ceiling fan with this BEAUTIFUL Fandelier. Installation up high is not easy. The fan / light combo is heavy and two people would be needed to do it right. Our issue is the instructions. It is obvious they were translated into English. Another issue: there are NO instructions for how to operate the remote. There are notes for what the buttons are but not how to use the remote. They are needed to make the light work correctly. We did an online search with no positive result. Wowzers, this was a really hard ceiling fan to install! I ended up calling an electrician to finish installing it, but they didn’t have any trouble. The remote control box was the hardest part! But for the fan itself, it is beautiful! You have to hang all the crystals on the bottom but that was easy and kind of fun and my daughter helped. The blades are clear plastic and when the fan is off it just looks like a gorgeous chandelier. The fan is silent, even on high. This is our first retractable type ceiling fan, and we’re pleasantly surprised. Now I want to replace all the traditional fans in our home! Unfortunately the first one came damaged, we sent this one back and Wayfair replaced it with a second one which also came damaged. We already had our plumbing moved. Our contractor stated he believed he could fix the leg and the damaged end so it would hardly be noticeable. We kept this one and Wayfair made it right for us. We are very grateful. This is really an issue with Fed Ex. While it was packed well , because of its bulkiness, you can see where the box had holes in the middle on both sides and was ripped open and patched over with cardboard. The ends were also dented and box resealed. It weighs 106 lbs. I have to tell you with that behind us it is a very beautiful shower pan and extremely hard to find in that size with a center drain. It is extremely sturdy. All correspondence with Fine Fixtures and Wayfair was quick and everything resolved to our satisfaction. Thank you Wayfair!! We absolutely love our new 48" range hood! It shipped and delivered so quickly. It was packaged extremely well. Once we opened it and removed from the packaging, we were pleasantly surprised because of the copper edges. We did not realize the hood had this. We were unable to tell looking at the pictures on Wayfair. This hood matches our oil rubbed bronze fixtures throughout kitchen so nicely. We repurposed very old slate roofing tiles for our wall behind our 1950's stove. When we installed the hood, we used 5 inch iron pipes to have the hood sit out from the wall.
