It comes in a crate and its 300 pounds so beware. I paid for the delivery service and it was no problem although the men visibly struggled to get it into my bedroom. My master is on the first floor. I couldnt imagine trying to get it up an interior stairway. Ive read some other reviews that complain of it not retaining heat. My experience is the opposite. THIS tub replaced one of those horrible, huge, tubs with all the jets that builders put in homes in the 1990s. I gutted my master bath and more than doubled the size of my shower, and had this beauty installed. I wish I had considered the placement of the freestanding water faucet while the plumber was in the deep hole he had to dig to move pipes around....I placed the tub with the little lip under the faucet so some water splatters on the wall.......that was MY mistake so just a suggestion for when you put your tub in. I am used to one of the type tubs that goes in a corner with wall on 3 sides..........long and low. THIS is short and deep. Perfect soaking tub. I am 5'1 so I actually can sit and extend my legs straight out but anyone taller will have their knees up. Even so, a little water comes up on your body giving you an amazing soak. The tub is beautiful and I can't believe the price for a stone resin tub. I was quoted more for an acrylic tub, which would have cheapened the overall look of my bathroom remodel. It was perfectly crated and undamaged. It took 4 men huffing and puffing to haul it to my primary bath, but it was just installed and all is working well. A few things to note: it is thinner than I imagined it to be based on the weight, so I hope it doesn't mean it is more fragile in the long term. the matte will definitely get scuffs when installing, but it comes right out with the sander..
