First opening the box, it looked to be a major undertaking. However it was a simple job. Just a few notes : some of the pieces are heavy, especially the umbrella holder and might need a second person. The raising and lowering handle was a bit tedious to line up the hole. I had my other one, probably about four years and unfortunately it broke because I left it up in high winds, not realizing that it was still up… it was very easy to put together very sturdy.
