First opening the box, it looked to be a major undertaking. However it was a simple job. Just a few notes : some of the pieces are heavy, especially the umbrella holder and might need a second person. The raising and lowering handle was a bit tedious to line up the hole. This is such a great umbrella! It took a little while to assemble, mainly adding sand to the support bags which took 3.5 bags of playground sand.
