We purchased this for a new home build that had a slide in range in an island. We did not want an exhaust hood that hung down from the ceiling and this one was perfect for a flush mount in the ceiling. It was priced considerably less than other brands that had white glass finishes. There are a couple discoveries we made however. It did not turn on once the power was brought to the new build. We called Awoco and were told to check in the black box under the stainless grill, for a white connection that sometimes is disconnected. That solved the problem and the unit lit up and worked with the remote and the voice commands. Customer service was very helpful and seemed to know exactly what to look for. There is one other thing to be aware of with the voice command, occasionally it picks up what it believes to be a request for action and starts talking, asking for directions. We thought we were hearing voices until we realized it was the exhaust fan talking. The compact feature of this unit is great and it did not produce any notable scent and some brands do. Another great find attained from Wayfair! At first, I was a little disappointed because it didn’t work I thought, but if you look at the last pictures, you will see underneath hidden there’s a actual plug that plugs into itself within the unit! After i figured that out I was able to see all it can do. It’s pretty remarkable thing,. It has cupholders Bluetooth you can plug in your phones also wireless charging a little light that’s great for book reading or seeing things when everybody else is watching TV and also a phone holder that’s a charger which is really pretty cool. It’s pretty ingenious little thing and it looks a heck of a lot nicer than a TV tray with everything on it and all these wires!
