This gate is perfect and has features I didn’t even know I needed! I originally bought a pet gate from another site, that just had the bars, and no plexiglass. Unfortunately, my cat kept trying to shove his face through, and I was worried about him hurting himself. The latch could also be opened if he were to jump up and pull down on it, and the gate had a lot of play in the middle, so it would wobble back and forth. I returned it and got this gate. It took care of all of the issues I had regarding the first one! No more fear of my cat trying to push his face through the bars, the latch is cat proof, and it is much more stable! I didn’t even have to add the bonus hardware half way up to add to the stability. I also love the added feature of the door swinging both ways, as it makes it easier to keep my cat back who tries to get out at times when I am coming through the gate. The Gate appeared sturdy and well-made. However, I ordered the wrong size. I live in an older house with smaller and not-quite-perfectly-rectangular doorways, and unfortunately this gate cannot be adjusted to a size slightly smaller than the minimum size listed, which is apparently what I need. It's hard to find a tall gate with slats thin enough to keep skinny cats out, so I'm disappointed that it didn't fit my doorway, and that it doesn't come in a narrower version! And despite the product appearing to be good quality, the packaging was not: the cheap Styrofoam packaging was already broken into many pieces when I opened the package, which made a mess and also made it difficult to re-pack the product to return. Really effective for what we wanted. My partner and I moved in together - he has mid-size dog and I have two cats who are very scared and skiddish.
