Only labeling this bed 4 stars due to the slats not being manufactured closer together. The slats should be 3 inches apart for the best support according to online resources but are 3.5 inches apart. Pleased with my purchase. The queen size bed frame and headboard came in excellent condition. The construction appears solid. Assembly took less than 30 minutes. However, if you arent very familiar with furniture assembly instructions, you may struggle a little as none of the pieces were labeled with the numbers used in the instructions. This bed is great for the price! Bought two twin beds for our young grandchildren. The wood looks really nice and assembly was easy with clear instructions. It took a couple of hours to assemble. A few of the holes where the screws went in was not complely drilled out so had to press hard to get the screw in. I used an impact drill for all the screws to go into the slats. Only concern are the slats where the mattress sits on. It is made of soft wood and easy to bend.
