It is a very nice piece of equipment, with just a few comments. First, the microwave function is very quiet, a plus. However, the internal vent fan is very loud. More to the point, while air blows out the top vent, there is very little flow into the two-under vent portals, not very efficient removing smoke and odors. The control and number pad is very difficult to read in normal light. Either the text needs to stand out more, or ideally it would be better if illuminated. Bought this ceiling fan for my parents to replace an older ceiling fan that provided very little light. I primarily wanted to solve the lighting issue in a room that had dim areas that needed more light but still wanted a fan to move air. Their room only had one ceiling junction box to mount anything to so this seemed like a good solution to address both functions.
