I just love my new cooktop. The design makes it really easy to clean. In terms of performance, I noticed that cook times are a little bit shorter. The gas dial has a wide range, so I can go from very low to high flame. Also having an additional burner is great. I can have multiple meals going at the same time. It's hard to find a replacement for a gas downdraft cooktop, but this one is great! Burners are stronger than previous cooktop (not GE). Downdraft works much better, doesn't pull flames from burners. The cooktop works great, but I wanted induction. When I searched products by using the filters, this electric one was in the list. My fault for not double checking before I bought. The electric cooktop works great and heats food very quickly, but the surface is extremely hot, which is dangerously close to where my grandchildren sit at the counter. You will love the multiple sizes you can choose for the size pot or pan. It boils water fairly quickly. I like that you have to long press the buttons to turn on the elements so children wouldn’t accidentally turn on an element. So when I saw this on Wayfair, I thought I could upgrade my gas cooktop with a newer one, as the dimensions were the same as my old gas cooktop. It arrives and I was surprised that the quality was better than my old one by a little bit. The strikers that ignite the fire were a bit larger and shouldn’t have issues if they get dirty. Overall it is a good cooktop. Unfortunately, the underside of the cooktop is much wider than my old one, so I can’t replace it in my kitchen as the wood underneath the cooktop I have now is too narrow.
