The pot is solid and heavy and fits perfectly in my existing planter. I really like that the height is adjustable which allows me to customize the appearance with easily movable rubber rings. The topiary arrives in a square box so the foliage needs to be fluffed and adjusted initially upon opening - just be careful doing this as I got a little aggressive with one of the balls and accidentally loosened it off of the pole. Amazing...I grappled with buying these columns for 2 years, because of the non-refundable policy, so I had to be sure. I have a small porch so I knew I couldnt get the columns to wide or the proportions would look odd. So I used makeshift cardboard and the like to determine what to buy...I made the best decision with the 5.63 width columns they look amazing. My contractor bought 5 wood post from our local big box store and used brackets to install them on the porch. He used his nail gun to fasten each wrap to the wood post, he said it was rather simple to install. Next he caulked all the small nail gun holes and painted ( per instructions for winter protection) looks amazing.
