I put the structure together myself and it probably would have gone quicker if I had help but I took my time and the instructions were easy enough to follow. The wood is strong enough for indoor but I don’t think it would last long outside in the elements. I didn’t use the roofing material that came with it since I have it inside the house. The reason i gave it 4 stars because IT IS NOT CHOCOLATE BROWN as pictured which is what I wanted. It is a med beige tan, see photo. Disappointing but I am keeping it and my two cats love it. Love this! Debated about the purchase for a while, but finally went for it, and my cats are in love. Its sturdy and assembly instructions are straight forward. Plenty of room for both of my large cats (about 12-14 lbs each). I added some finer screening around it to keep bugs out (just stapled it to the frame) and created a wood frame that fits inside my window so it can be secured without attaching it to the exterior of my house. Sometimes it falls over when I tug it, or gets tangled in its cord--and its cord could be longer, and it has a tough time with the thick shag carpet in the bedroom, but, this vacuum has agility and willingly moves forward, quietly sucking up the stuff. The wand is long and easy to use. Vacuuming furniture is a joy, its a pretty machine. Ive never sent so much on a vacuum, but Ive wanted a Miele canister for ages.
