Great starter coop! We ended up stapling chicken wire around the entire outside for extra protection and also added a second latch to the bottom of the door. Impressed with the amount of roosting space plus ground space. I plan on redoing the latches on the roosting boxes as they aren’t the strongest and predators “could” get in or my chickens could get out. We did have missing pieces to 4 of the latches and had to go buy some. My 12 year old son and I had no problem assembling this in about an hour. I the wood is not as thick/sturdy as I had hoped. I think it will be excellent for our first 4 chickens. Very tight tolerances, to install, but absolutely stunning. We have taken one star off because the water pressure on the bidet is not as strong as we are used to, but it still does the job. This just may be the fanciest chicken coop ever… or in your neighborhood, anyway. It comes with two ventilated nesting boxes, each with a windowed door that latches snugly from the outside. Ramps lead from each enclosed box to a fenced enclosure, where the birds can move around in the open air without the risk of predators. Constructed of weatherized natural fir and finished with a brown stain, the boxes each have a waterproof asphalt roof and removable pull-out trays for easy cleaning.
