Upon receipt of this item, I was disappointed, thee was no box, packaging or instructions.it just arrived in a clear ziploc in a mail bag…no paper with details of ANY KIND. The setup of it was quite confusing because it’s described as “retractable” ….however, that is NOT what it is…it is EXTENDABLE. I was intending to return it but I think I will keep it ..I won’t use it for daily walks as I intended…due to inability to retract..but am thinking I will use it occasionally (at fairs or when carrying things, need to be hands from while I have the boys (my two dogs with me)…I gave it four stars due to its convenience during occasional use and it’s sturdy construction.. Very helpful for carrying our 58 lbs. Labrador when she had a ruptured cervical disc at age 11 and couldn’t walk. The stretcher is very sturdily made with handles that are comfortable and easy to hold. The strap to hold your pet on worked well and gave us confidence that we weren’t going to hurt her. My husband and I could carry her (ages 69 and 75) out to the yard, to the car, into the vet. She doesn’t need it since her surgery but it’s very comforting to have it on hand, just in case.
