The seat cushion and backing are soft velvet feel and legs sparkle especially in the sunlight. First chair was a lot easier to assemble but the second one wasn’t lining up well so there was a big gap in the back base so not sure how sturdy it will be. Eventually over time and lots of strength and force, I was able to close the gap but it’s definitely not as aligned as the other chair. These Martha Stewart chairs are super comfy. I paired it with the Sara 60 inch farmhouse table and the chairs slide all the way under the table regardless of how you arrange them. The packaging is excellent. The legs are in the base of the chair under the Velcro cover. And honestly that Velcro cover for the bottom of the chair is a really nice touch, not that I’ll be looking at the bottom but the details and quality matter. Out of the 4 chairs I ordered only one keg on one chair did not seem tight. But I’m gonna fix that by removing the leg and adding a bit of wood glue. But they are sturdy and well cushioned. The finished chairs looked amazing! There was a box that looked like it was opened and used because all tool pieces were all over the place inside the seat.
