My elderly mother has had such a difficult time getting in and out of our house because there was nothing for her to hold onto. After these bars were installed it has made it so much easier and safer for her.  Not only do they solve her problems but their stylish shape and beautiful chrome color makes them look very modern and not hospital like. The bars feel very secure and easy to grip onto. Also, they are rust resistant, so they should be ok being exposed to wet weather. These grab bars were not at all difficult for my husband to install. The instructions were clear with good pictures. All of the necessary screws were included. This shelf/bar is beautiful and very well made and designed. We are installing the 40” in our new shower to use as a shelf for now, but looking in the future, we will probably need it and use it also for a grab bar as we age.
