Corner blocks are used with casing mouldings in the top corners around door frames or around the four corners of windows. It adds great architectural detail to your room and is ideal when you want to achieve a different look from metering. Use a corner block with Ornamental Mouldings casings. BEWARE! This baseboard will cost you a fortune. The material itself at $57 per plank is one cost. The extra planks you’ll need to order to try for some color cohesion is another, and the extra you pay your installer to cut pieces (to remove unsightly dark splotches and variations) and jigsaw them together to appear cohesive is another. I was too far in to turn back but I will never be happy with what I ended up with. Meant to look special, looks sub builder-grade. I’d have been better off with plywood and a router. I understand it’s natural wood and poplar is known for its distinctive patterning. Unfortunately it just looks cheap. I can’t recommend it. Wide Reeded Accent Moulding is a very popular and trending style used to create additional texture in any space. It makes an excellent accent to plain walls or furniture pieces. This molding is ready to be primed and painted in any color to display the depth of the pattern detail to perfection.

This is nice paint grade trim. Pricy but it is Solid poplar, ribbed back with reeded front. I would not stain this would because it is poplar which naturally has a green tint. You may receive cupped trim due to the profile like I did. I was able to lay on concrete with weights on top and flatten out the piece. I would recommend this trim considering the alternatives.
