This DVD mount bracket is designed to attach the back of your TV in its VESA mount holes. The unit has a smoked tempered glass shelf that can be placed above or below the TV-inch hold a DVD player or any other similarly sized device. The bracket can fit on almost any TV. The maximum weight capacity of the bracket is 22 lbs so if it is set with the shelf under the TV the tall weight of the TV and whatever is put on the shelf cannot exceed the maximum weight capacity. Have had this in bedroom across 4 different apartments and love it. First time I purchased it I hired someone to mount it because I didn't want it to fall, but then the next time was able to do it myself with a friend helping. And after that, was able to just mount it myself but it takes a little longer. If you plan to put this somewhere unconventional (i.e. not a living room where wall studs are often found in more areas where you'd possibly put a TV up), I'd just double check to make sure you know where you're putting it and if you'll need to purchase heavy duty anchors separately. Also you won't really be able to put any media or entertainment systems on it like a traditional TV stand as it's not big enough, but you're buying this for the aesthetic not the functionality..
