I really like these fixtures, but wanted to add one word of caution. Because the decorative links are STEMS rather than chains, "adjusting the length" means using 1 or 2 stems. You are not given that much flexibility in the length. This was hard for us, because we found out that 1 stem made it too high and 2 stems made it too low. (We had a very creative electrician who came up with a solution using brass colored links from another fixture we had ordered. Otherwise, we would have had to return this fixture).. Yuko. It is hung with the 20 chain. For perspective, we replaced a 20 year old pile rubbed bronze fixture that was 18 in diameter. I had concerns the new light may over power the space but the scale worked out beautifully in the end. The only concern was the instructions.
