In the meantime, I was able to repair the issue myself, although it did take a few hours of extra work. By the time support got back to me, I had already completed the assembly and no longer needed the replacement part. Even so, they were committed to making things right, which I really appreciated. As someone with absolutely no furniture-building experience, I was able to assemble the entire bookshelf on my own with just a screwdriver and some patience. Despite the initial hiccup, the finished product is sturdy, attractive, and exactly what I was hoping for. This is a very nice cabinet. Assembly is the cam and lock style which is very common for furniture. If you've done that before, assembly is easy. If you haven't, just go slow and follow the directions. They are pretty self-explanatory. Assembly can be done by one person, but there are a couple steps where it would be helpful to have a second set of hands.
