Worst purchase ever, would give this 0 stars if that was an option. Does not come with an instruction manual, just a bag of screws, a small screw driver and the small pieces of what is suppose to be the shelf. I couldn’t put the shelf together since the product description on the Wayfair app doesn’t provide a pdf of the instruction manual either, but the shelves looked rather small so even if I had been able to put it together I’m sure i would have been unsatisfied with the final product. This bookcase is just as described - but better. Very attractive, retro and sturdy. Three tiers of three cubes allows for LOTS of decor options as well as storage. The nine cubes are in a vintage whitewash. The top, this is a game changer, as it is a beveled brown wood that gives luxury to the entire piece. The decorative bottom form prevents this from looking cheap. The measurements are spot on. This lovely Bookcase came un-assembled, of course. The directions were excellent. Every single screw hole lined up perfectly. I appreciate that the back of the bookcase has a panel and not just open! The back screw-down anchors definitely make a difference in the sturdiness of the overall piece. Assembly took about an hour - for UNHANDY ME, by myself. After assembly, I was able to carry this from room to room by myself without much difficulty. I love that I can purchase storage cubes that fit into the squares of the bookcase. The wheels on it are perfect so you can move it around as needed. The top also makes a great cat bed for a larger kitty. I worried a little after I ordered this, but once I had it up, I knew I loved it. It was an unusual piece for me to get, but I simply didn't have floor space for a long bookcase and this seemed like a solution, as long as it didn't look cheap or odd, and it doesn't. I think it adds a unique touch to the room. I absolutely had to hire somebody, a professional carpenter who's a friend of mine, to put it together, I'm not at all handy, so there's no question of whether I could do it. He decided to glue it, which is not in the instructions, as he felt it would be more stable over time. $90.00 was the charge for an excellent professional. It still swivels very nicely on day four!
