The assembly instructions don’t tell you how to insert the gold pieces, so I’m sharing the trick here. You won’t be able to push in the gold pieces with your fingers and the holes will seem too small, but the pieces will fit - you have to use a mallet. Tilt the piece and use your mallet to gently tap in one edge of the piece so that it lodges crookedly in the hole. Overall a good value to seat 8. Even though I bought the 10 person version, it would be VERY tight to fit 10 adults at the table comfortably. MDF top seems solid but the "wood veneer" seems like its just contact paper. We bought a clear cover immediately as I don't see that type of simulated wood holding up long term. Metal frame construction as well as metal chair legs is excellent and definitely feels solid and is the best part about this set. Given the costs difference between this and others, its definitely a trade off of quality vs price. We were using a temporary folding table so this is a thousand times better, but if you want something that will take a beating, may want to look at another set. Overall I am happy!. Derek. Ordered two of these individual chairs to complete the set of 4 I got with my extendable table. We didn’t put together the first four (assembly was complimentary with that order) so this was my first time putting them together. Pretty easy and didn’t have much trouble. Love these chairs. They seat is very wide and comfortable. The cross cross back is just the look I was going for. Note that with the matching table, you can’t fit all six chairs under the table. Since our toddler usually sits at the end and likes to get in and out of his seat often during a meal, his chair is usually always pushed out anyway, so this doesn’t bother me, but worth noting. The seat cushions are ones I found at a yard sale so not the right size but good enough for now. The chairs are sturdy and this set overall is the perfect blend of casualfarmhouse without being *too* rustic. I was a little hesitant to buy this since I did not see any review but this is such a beautiful piece. It’s perfect, not too big and not too small.. The piece is just as pictured and love the cappuccino color. The table is heavy but manageable.. The style is simply beautiful and we love the wine and glasses rack under the table. 7 Piece Extendable Dining Table Set: This classic 6-person dining table set is designed to enhance your family dining experience. The set includes an extendable wooden dining table and six upholstered dining chairs with trapezoidal backrests, adding elegance and practicality to your dining space.

The Table and chairs were packaged well and all in good shape although some critical table parts were in the box with the chair parts which I had to search for at the bottom of the separate box. So be aware if you purchase this model. The biggest issue is no instructions for assembling the table & the four bolts provided for the table leg cross members were too long and bottomed out in the hole that has the threaded inserts. Bolts were easily 3/4” too long. I had to go and purchase shorter bolts to complete assembly. There were only two bolts for the table assembly, the smaller ones would never work for replacing the oversized bolt so must be a hardware error or holes were drilled improperly. No table assembly instructions in any box does not make sense to me. Table & chairs appear to be reasonable quality for the cost.
