These arrived this week and were incredibly well packaged for safe shipping and are very well built. These are made of wood, not particle board. The installer is a cabinet maker and he was very impressed with how well packaged these came. Even while they were packaged very well, the center drawer’s face has a split in it. I love this porch swing! It is a great size. Why just the 4 stars? The instructions didn't have all the parts labeled and did not account for certain positions the pieces need to be in; you know, the things you realize when you're about finished with construction and realize the leg assembly on the right needs to be flipped around? Yeah, that made us decide to just leave the thing flipped wrong. Lol I took the pics right after a soaking rain, and you can see the design flaw with the fabric covering the top: the rainwater pools in sections no matter how much you have it tilted. It's a mess of a waterfall to refit the top. With that said, I really like the look and feel of this item, but my husband will need to put something sturdy and flat underneath the top shade thingy. Great looking pergola with easy to follow instructions. Took two adults about 7 hours to build with breaks in between. We also used the recommended expansion bolts to secure it to our cement patio. The wood is very soft so it does dent and scratch easily while we were building it but it doesnt look bad at all. All and all, this is a nice swing. Difficult to assemble because the instructions are hard to understand. It takes three people to assemble the canopy. One of the polls broke off the end as we were trying to slide the fabric on. Suggestion: tape the canopy rods together where they meet.
