I really like this desk. I think its great. However, I only recommended it for those ready for the technical and physical challenges and have the skills, time, and patience for assembling things like this. The instructions describe the general order of assembly and are insufficient on certain details. It comes in five boxes, so be sure to do a complete inventory before starting. I spent more than 24 hours (with break times) for unpacking, inventory, and assembly, including getting the drawers and doors operating smoothly to running, wrapping, and placement of power, video, and data cables so that they are just right. We purchased the white shelving with gold supports. The quality is very good, and the set up was pretty easy - it probably took my husband and I about an hour and a half to put together, there are just a lot of parts! I was surprised that handles are silver, and not gold - looking back at the listing, this is how they were shown, I just didn't notice. It's a shame, because every other visible finish, even on the fasteners, matches the gold supports. Our daughter hasn't commented on it, so hopefully it's not a big deal - if it is, we'll have to try to find replacement handles.
