We purchased outdoor light fixtures with a mounting base too small to cover the electrical box. These covers were perfect. The plastic layer is of very good quality and didn't scratch when the drill bit scraped against it. The plastic layer covers a metal plate that is stamped with holes (not through the plastic) that match the location of mounting screw holes on the electric box. You just need to drill the holes and supply mounting screws. I carefully mounted the base of the light fixture on the cover (measured and drilled the holes) then the cover on the wall. We had spent a lot of money on a large under mount hand hammered copper metal sink and i was concerned about the weight of the sink being carried by just the cabinet. i found these online and took a shot at them. very stout piece of metal and nice construction.
