The power on the Fotile range hood is excellent. For most cooking, I stay on the first 2 out of 3 fan settings. For high smoke activities such as seasoning a wok or searing steak, the 3rd settings is more than enough to suck up all the fumes. The fan speeds are all pretty quiet. The Forte fireplace has three color options (orange, blue, and blue-orange), along with five brightness settings, from a soft ember glow or an intense blaze, so you have the ability to adjust the flame color and intensity based on your desired mood or lighting of the room. Just press the appropriate button on the fireplace's included remote control, and you have instant fireplace ambiance. Push another button to control the Forte's heater, which features two settings (high and low heat) and a thermostat, to quickly add supplemental heat to a room of up to 400 square feet. While the heater isn’t designed to be the primary heat source in your room or home, it will warm up a cool evening, or bring the temperature of a room up a few degrees.
