Appears to be relatively heavy-duty and well made. It is certainly long enough to serve as we expected for our old fat beagle to use to get up into my truck, on the couch and possibly onto the bed again. Rocky has arthritis in his hips and we do a lot of lifting of his aft end to get him up the back steps, into the truck and onto the couch. The ramp is long enough to make the grade favorable and not so steep he cannot negotiate most "climbs" as needed. The ramp is very compact when collapsed, yet quite strong when extended for use. Let me tell you over a year later this has held up and been amazing to have I live in a apartment building and bringing water upstairs can be hard but with this it folds down to almost notthing and takes up no space so I leave it in my trunk and honestly use it all the time I have a big clip to hold bags you will see it in the pic I have tie downs to hold things to it .
