Tub was listed on the website as cast iron but actually was acrylic. Talked to customer service representative who was wonderful and immediately said the info was sent by the manufacturer to go on Wayfair website and that Wayfair was unaware that it wasn't cast iron. When we remodeled our master bathroom I didn't want to give up the giant soaking tub and replace it with just a shower. This bad boy is super deep with arm rests on each side and just the right amount of slope to lay comfortably back on my bath pillow. It's also sleek and smooth and easy to clean. After spending a substantial amount of time reading reviews and product ratings for several 40 gallon gas water heaters, I selected this unit which was on sale for a competitive price. All my appliances are the GE brand and have been very reliable over time. Most big box brands only come with a 6-year tank warranty although upgradeable at an extra charge. The replacement item was damaged and I declined the delivery when FedEx attempted to delivered the item. The next day On July 27th, 2025 I found the same item was delivered in front of my doorstep. I have a not good experience with this particular purchase. I would like a refund and asked that WayFair have a section area to check off for broken item for the replacement.
