Really solid door, paint finish is amazing, but it is not really very printable. It would need to be scuffed up well to take any paint, so when one side accidentally had trim applied to it and there were tiny nail holes after we removed the trim strip the painters were concerned about painting the whole door because the finish wouldn't be as good if they had to prep the whole door and eventually the paint-over could fail vs if we just kept most of the door untouched and just painted the one style to cover the small nail holes. The size and hinges are good but there was a chip out of the frame, rough edges and drippy primer. Square in the frame and easy to install. I really like the weight of this door; not too light. Needed some sanding and some black goo removed. Edges around the hinges are rough like could have used sharper cutting tools. Painting this door is odd in that the paint doesn't stick very well and will peel off easily on a 2nd coat if you need to remove small debris while you're painting.. Mary. Beavercreek, OR. Love this door! It isn’t too modern or country! I think it is simple and elegant. The chunky silver handle in the above pics is what comes with the door. It wasn’t me, so I got the black from Wayfair too of course! I was nervous about the install, I have never put one up before. I put it up all by myself in an afternoon! I was amazed at how easy it was and the instructions were clear and good! It is hollow where I placed the handle but the handle goes all the way through, so perfectly stable. Nice door! We added a white piece of wood for the top rail to mount on. Warning, door itself comes in multiple pieces that need to be put together. Luckily the hubby is handy.
