I finally broke down and invested in a better vacuum. This thing is amazing! Mostly hard flooring and its highest setting picks up everything- doesn’t blow it around. Bought sight unseen, just via computer image and crossed fingers. These are gorgeous in person. I didnt want a white floor (the dirt!) or a dark floor (the dirt!). The pattern here will go with any color grout (I suggest darker than the tiles though!) and the overall effect will, hopefully, be like...sand, the beach, the coast. I did end up buying a turbo power head from another site (having to buy a power head separately is pretty standard with these high end vacuums).
