Everything they claim plus more!I was looking for the best underlayment product money can buy and found this product. It had been recommended by a friend that used it and a professional installer also insisted upon it. I also took the time to read the reviews and I called the factory for additional information. I had a previous 1000 square foot carpeted cement floor and the carpet needed replacement. we liked the look of vinyl but knew we would need a good underlayment. ECF is that product and more. Waterproof with a vapor barrier, cushioning effect but not spongy. The easiest product to ever put down. Lays flat. a unique way of attaching to each other making for a perfect fit and easy to cut and shape where shaping is needed. It seems a bit pricey but consider the long term use it provides it is really not meaningful. Having the best underlayment is the most important consideration when putting down any flooring. Laid this with my 13 year old son, it was a breeze. Quality product, square/true so easy to connect pieces. Looks nice in the herringbone pattern we laid with the 24x12 size (tip buy some 12x12 too to minimize cuts if you use this pattern). A small # of boxes were a different shade/dye lot which was not ideal but workable if spaced out (3rd photo). Including some pre, in progress and post photos. Worried about long term longevity of the underside plastic but time will tell. Shipping was a mess. Got 2 boxes, other 11 were missing. Hours on the phone but Wayfair tracked things down ...though the rest of the order was 2 weeks or more later. So far so good. I just installed this tile last weekend. It went in fairly easily and I love how it looks. The pattern is a bit busier and darker than in the listing but it hides the dirt better than a plainer pattern. I really like how tight the seams are on this product several others Iooked at had gaps or faux grout lines that are just asking for dirt buildup. Overall I'm very satisfied with the quality for the price. ( I recommend using a table & miter saw or a flooring saw that does both. (I used a RYOBI cordless flooring saw) These are heavy duty tiles and are not easy to score and snap.) Also pencil marks erase right off with no problem.
