No. But it is extremely helpful. These are things I was ready for, but some other buyers might not be ready for. This is an RF controlling device. While it makes some devices a little easier to use it does not make those devices "smart". If you have someone who likes to use the remotes a lot, the app will show incorrect settings for those devices that have changed with the remote. This does not bug me, but for someone who is not ready for that, make sure you understand what this device is first. I highly recommend Bond. This is an affordable way to use what you already have. Less devices in the landfill for replacements, and a pretty great way to control my devices from my phone. Why in the world the previous owner installed white ceiling fans on a brown house is beyond me!! The fan was fairly easy to install (cramming the remote box into the housing without crimping wires is always the hardest part!). I’ve been extremely impressed with the Roborock Q7 M5. Setup was quick and easy, and the app is very user-friendly.
