Wow! I’ve been dying to see these walls for about 5 weeks. They were delivered right after Thanksgiving for our bathroom remodel, and they took up a LOT of garage space since then. The packaging was larger than the 5x8 ft wall size by at least 6” in every direction. There was some damage to the cardboard one one edge, but there was no damage to the product. Unfortunately the delivery drivers placed the package upside down, so I couldn’t even glance at the marble effect. I was afraid to try to flip it to look at it. I was worried that it might look tacky, the way some “marble” products have busy pattern repeats or weird colors (like the “marble” shower base we returned that was “marbled” with purple and brown streaks.). But I did not need to worry! These wall panels are fantastic! The marble effect is very subtle and natural looking. We made sure we had room to store them flat until our contractor could install them, which finally happened today! They have a matte, lightly textured feel that is similar to tile, but no grout lines to scrub!. The crew commented many times how luxe it all looks. My contractor will caulk it on Friday when he installs the new toilet and vanity, and then we can try it out on Sunday! I looked at every possible wall material before settling on these. Aside from shipping issues these tiles are great. They are strong and forgiving of less than desirable walls. Watch the videos and do exactly as they say and installation with be quick and smooth. I used these for my bathtub surround and being 68 doing it alone I was able to do it all myself. I did it in two days mostly because I was hesitant about doing it around the water lines. my plumbing hadn't been touched since at least the 50s and had longer bigger pipes than today. Cutting and drilling out the holes was never a problem. I will say though using a utility knife for anything other than trimming edges is difficult. Luckily I had a small table saw that worked great. I hope I will be able to edit this post and share pictures of the finished project next month! I absolutely adore these tiles. They’re stunning! The deep green color has the perfect level of character and variation it’s just perfect. I would have given it a 5-star rating, but the way they were packed was quite disappointing. Instead of using a piece of paper or something to separate the layers of tiles, they used this strange dried gluestrip. It probably would have been helpful, but it wasn’t applied to the highest ridge of the tiles, resulting in some scuff marks on the outer edges. I’m sure they won’t be noticeable to anyone else, but I notice EVERYTHING (it’s a curse). Overall, I’m extremely happy with my purchase at this point prior to installation. The tiles are simply beautiful. I did receive one box of broken tiles, but Wayfair was fantastic. They sent me a replacement box right away and didn’t make me return the broken ones. I love these tiles!! My mantel had an empty gap that always bothered me. They are easy to work with and cut, I used an angle grinder and it worked great. I did score the tiles with a glass cutter and I also taped the tiles where I needed to grind to. I didn’t want to do too much cutting so I used a peel and stick Moulding to fill in the little gap at the bottom. The photos don’t do it justice, they are very iridescent. I highly recommended them!.
